Bringing a new baby home can be overwhelming.
That's where I come in.
My role as a postpartum doula is to
support a resting period for the Mother
after the arrival of the baby. I massage
the Mother, cook nourishing meals,
run errands and grocery shop for the
family, assist with housekeeping, child
care, dog walking, etc. My role is
to help take on (and disperse to Grandparents,
family and friends) the duties of the
Mother while she rests and enjoys the
early days and weeks of her child’s
life. I’m available as an extra
set of hands to change diapers, help
with baths, and give smiles and love.
My primary care-giving responsibilities
are geared toward taking care of the
Mother so she can best take care of
her family.
In my postpartum home care programs,
I emphasize well cooked and nourishing
foods for the Mother (and family if
they like to eat veggies and soups!).
All the foods I prepare will enhance
digestion, lactation and rejuvenation.
I typically spend 1-2 hours in the
kitchen making meals and snacks that
are readily available to Mom.
The remaining hours of my visits can
be divided however the Mother and family
desires. I love to offer the Mother
a warm oil massage which calms anxiety,
offers a deep sense of relaxation and
helps the recovery process.
My visits are tailored to the family's
needs and are flexible to take on whatever
arises on that given day. My visits
on average are 4 hours and anywhere
from 2, 3, to 5 days a week.
Please call so we can discuss this
program for you and how it fits into
your needs for this very exciting time
in your life.
