My office
serves as your sanctuary.
I attempted to redefine what skincare
could be, by calling what I do "Ayurvedic
Beauty Therapy." I came to my
profession after years of struggling
with my own acne; at least 10 years
of antibiotics, 1 course of Acutane,
and many Dermatologist visits. In college,
I become interested in holistic health
and read up on Ayurveda which I found
during my exploration of yoga and Eastern
philosophy.
When I met my true love, he inspired
me to do what I love. I enrolled at
the Beauty School in Longmont with
the intent to open my open my own Ayurvedic
skin care practice in Boulder back
in 2003. With the support of Dr. Nita
Desai here in Boulder, I learned about
my body, its' imbalances, cleared my
skin and greatly improved my personal
quality of life. Since then, I have
been fortunate to study with Cathy
Pool and John Douillard at his LifeSpa,
Dr. Lad and others at the Ayurvedic
Institute, Dr. Nita Desai and Saraswati
Burhman here in Boulder.
My holistic skin care practice is
evolving. I've added a postpartum doula
care service. In my postpartum home
care program, I follow Ayurvedic wisdom "to
mother the mother," so that she
can be all that she will be to her
new baby and family. I prepare her
meals, offer daily massage, lactation
support, herbal support and help with
light housekeeping, dog walking, child
care - whatever she needs to enjoy
the first 6 weeks of her newborn's
life. Being in the homes of new families,
I offer help that I hope to receive
when my day comes to start a family.
Thank you to my loyal clientele that
understands my deep intentions and
those of you who are curious.
Thank you to Boulder, for being a
contemplative place that allows practitioners
like me to serve.
